Commodity appraisal

The first step in the claim is the inspection of the package and the damaged goods by UPS. A UPS driver will be dispatched to collect the package for this inspection;

It is imperative to keep the goods in the same packaging used for transport. In your initial request, please specify :

  • What is the damage?

  • The value of damaged goods,

  • The address where the package is located so that UPS can collect it.

Once the appraisal has been carried out, UPS will redeliver the package to the address where it was collected, within 10 days. If the expertise shows that UPS is indeed responsible for the damage, VignoblExport will send you an email with the list of documents to be provided (see below).

Once the appraisal has been carried out and the carrier has been held liable

  • Incident notification to be filled in (sent as an attachment by VignoblExport's Customer Service department following the survey)

  • Purchase invoice for merchandise

  • Bank details

Mandatory reserves

None, but the customer must keep the product in its packaging in order to submit it to the carrier's expertise.

Amount of compensation for merchandise

  • National: €33/kilo

  • International: amount varies according to destination country (valued in SDR**)

Transport costs

✅ 100% reimbursed (after carrier validation)

30 days from receipt of documents
